Precise Variometer and Thermal Assistance
The GPS LS2 features Flymaster's proven high-sensitivity variometer technology, providing fast and accurate feedback on climbing and sinking air. With 10 measurements per second and a resolution of 10 cm, the instrument helps pilots identify even weak thermal activity.
The exclusive Thermal Ball (Magic Dot) indicates the location of the strongest lift relative to the pilot, making it easier to return to the thermal core. Combined with the graphical Thermal Assistant, it provides valuable support during thermal soaring and cross-country flights.
GPS Navigation and Flight Recording
The integrated multi-constellation GPS receiver provides accurate positioning and navigation data. The instrument displays essential flight information such as altitude, ground speed, glide ratio, wind direction, distance to takeoff and distance to the last thermal.
The GPS LS2 also supports single-waypoint navigation, making it easy to navigate towards a selected destination. Flights are recorded in IGC format and can be transferred to a computer or smartphone for further analysis and sharing.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Flymaster Link
The new Flymaster Link application, available for Android and iOS, makes managing the GPS LS2 simple and convenient.
- Configure instrument settings directly from your smartphone.
- Download and manage recorded flights.
- Install firmware updates.
- Transfer waypoints to the instrument.
- Connect to compatible applications using Bluetooth Low Energy.
The USB-C connection also allows convenient charging and direct access to stored flight data.
GPS LS2 and GPS LS2 FLARM Versions
The instrument is available in two versions:
- Flymaster GPS LS2: standard GPS variometer with navigation, thermal assistance, flight recording, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Flymaster GPS LS2 FLARM: includes additional FLARM/ADS-L electronic visibility functionality, helping improve situational awareness when flying near other compatible aircraft.
Note: FLARM/ADS-L functionality is only included in the corresponding FLARM version. Electronic visibility systems do not replace visual observation and standard collision avoidance procedures.
